Reports directly to the Director of Internal Audit and Corporate Governance, SVP. The Audit Associate will assist in the planning and/or execution of audits across different business units. Assist in organizing and maintaining documents to support the corporate governance framework.
Assist in preparation for Bank audits and reviews and throughout the audit process.
Track management’s responses for all Bank audits and reviews.
Assist the independent third-party audit firms as needed.
Upload audit requests to digital materials platforms.
Update Internal Control Assessments documentation regarding the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
Assist with policy approval process for Bank policies.
Prepare meeting materials required for Board and Committee meetings.
Upload of Board and Committee meeting materials and documents to digital materials platform.
Process Word and Excel documents and PowerPoint slides per comments received by Management team.
Scan documents to maintain electronically.
Assist with scheduling of meetings.
Complete other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES OR DETAILS
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
College Diploma or equivalent audit experience preferred.
One year of audit experience desired.
Must be able to gather, analyze, and evaluate facts to prepare and present reports.
Ability to meet strict deadlines.
Computer skills with windows-based office programs such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint are required.
Ability to communicate with diverse audiences, including Board, Management, and regulatory.
Preferred knowledge in the application of internal auditing theory, standards, procedures, and techniques.
Preferred knowledge of banking rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Successful completion of all training deemed necessary by the Bank.
Demonstrates and behaves in accordance with the principles of transparency and accountability in accordance with laws, state and organizational policies and procedures.
The working conditions are almost exclusively inside the Bank.
This position must be able to sit for long periods of time as position involves majority of time spent at desk and computer.
