Zions has an excellent opportunity available for a Quantitative Modeling Analyst intern to join our Corporate Quantitative Analytics group responsible for model development.

Assist in the design and development of statistical models to support various initiatives such as capital stress testing and other predictive modeling applications.
Construct and clean datasets in preparation for analysis and use in building forecasting models
Perform accuracy and quality checks to test model forecast results
Write documentation that explains the process used to forecast the balance sheet and income statement
Create summary reports that highlight forecasting methods and results
Make presentations to senior management
Qualifications
Currently Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Math, Computer Science or a related field.
Experience with one or more of the following statistical software tools: R, SAS, Python, SQL.
Knowledge of statistical and econometric modeling methods, as well as machine learning
Understanding of accounting, financial statements, and banking products is a plus.
Proficiency in working with large data sets is a plus.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.
