Job Description:
At EnerBank, the Data Warehouse Architect assists the Manager of BI & Data Services in the deployment, support, and maintenance of EnerBank's data services solutions. This includes database design, delivery, operations, and cloud ETL solutions that would help the organization to get to modern and more robust platforms.
EnerBank USA, a division of Regions Bank, engages in strategic partnerships with home-improvement manufacturers, distributors, franchisors, trade groups, and other organizations (with networks of home improvement contractors) to develop customized white-label loan programs to help them increase their sales as well as attract and retain top dealers.
Primary Responsibilities
Evaluates Cloud solutions or similar that could help the organization transition to a better and robust ETL platform
Develops and maintains ETL scripts.
Defines, maintains, and supports enhancements to database physical structure, functional capabilities, security, data retention, and recovery specifications.
Works closely with business units to ensure performant database implementations.
Works closely with Business Intelligence to meet the data needs of the organization
Supports and leads the enhancements to the Master Data Warehouse
Leads the efforts around transitioning the existing Master Data Warehouse setup to a cloud-based solution as well as integrating additional data sources
Maintains database performance by calculating optimum values for database parameters, implementing new releases, completing maintenance requirements, and evaluating computer operating systems and hardware products
Researches, evaluates and recommends database enhancements
Gathers and documents database requirements working directly with developers, administrators, stakeholders and users
Maintains N+1 status of the production database
Manages the database information lifecycle.
Mentors and trains junior staff members in database technology and solutions
Supports end-users by conducting training, providing information, and resolving problems
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in IT related field
Eight (8) years of database design and development experience (OLTP, OLAP)
Five (5) years of SQL Server administration experience
Preferences
Master's degree in IT related field
Skills and Competencies
Ability to provide after hour support for data systems' needs
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new products and processes
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
Demonstrated high level of team collaboration skills via verbal and written communication
Excellent analysis and logical problem-solving skills
Expert knowledge of OLTP and OLAP data architecture and practices
Expertise around Cloud ETL solutions like SAP HANA, Azure, Snowflake or similar
Strong knowledge of SAP BODS ETL or similar ERP platforms
