Job Description:
At Regions, the Capital Markets Foreign Exchange (FX) Operations Analyst is responsible for ensuring the workflow is maintained and there is no internal, external or client impact.
Primary Responsibilities:
Administers client onboarding and uploading of onboarding documentation to internal document repository
Confirms, processes, and settles FX deals and the review of OFAC hits
Approves wires, SWIFT messages and modifies/cancels trades as requested
Monitors Operations email boxes to respond to client requests
Responsible for daily funding of nostro accounts
Ensures that all Back Office system and payment queues are clear at close of business
Reviews and updates of FX credit lines
Assists in the reconciliation of Nostro and internal GL accounts
Responds to customer inquiries, documents and remediates investigations
Partners with correspondent banks to insure timely delivery of payments
Submits support tickets when trade issues are identified, or system failures occur
Engages with Audit on requests to document and tests operational controls
Performs other functions in support of FX Sales and Trading
Performs monthly regulatory and internal reporting
Serves as primary escalation point to Back Office teammates
Identifies opportunities for operational improvement through risk reducing controls and/or process efficiencies
Assists FX Management to position Regions for increased volume through operational excellence and a focus on customer needs
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree
Three (3) years of experience in an analyst role within the financial services industry
Preferences:
Finance or Accounting degree
Experience working with Capital Markets products
Skills and Competencies
Strong analytical skills
Good customer service skills
Sophisticated Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Access
Proven basic knowledge of various Capital Markets products and the mechanics of basic financial instrument
Ability to thrive in fast paced, high stress trading environment
