DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Detect/identify system performance issues by designing and implementing standard monitoring processes.
Develop and implement documented repeatable and scalable remediation solutions using automated means were possible to resolve or prevent any system performance/stability issues
Participate in the identification and remediation of any security issues/vulnerabilities across the environment and implement repeatable/scalable remediation's via automated means where possible
Contribute to the development and implementation of standard configuration frameworks across technologies in the Firstech ecosystem
Design, Implement and test new technologies/system according to defined requirements
Assess, monitor, and project lifecycle of systems to ensure platforms are running supported/secured versions of software, hardware resources remain under vendor/software support and can support future business objectives.
Consistently assess the utilization of technology resources to determine areas for improvement/cost reductions by moving workloads to more efficient/cost effective solutions.
Maintain documentation for the purposes of business continuity, supportability, and regulatory compliance.
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge:
- Minimum 5 years of senior level systems engineering experience in a virtualized Microsoft Windows Environment
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft infrastructure technologies including Microsoft Windows Server, IIS, PKI, Group Policy, and Active Directory
- Advanced experience and knowledge working with virtualization technologies such as Nutanix or VMWare.
- Advanced to expert level knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell
- Moderate to advanced knowledge of networking concepts including Cisco routers, firewalls, switches, and third-party load balancers.
- Moderate to advanced knowledge of cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365.
- Preferred experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation technologies such as Ansible.

EDUCATION and TRAINING
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Cloud Professional Exam Certificate(s) such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Preferred certification(s) for on-premise technologies such as MCSE, CCNA,
- Requires knowledge of Microsoft Office.
