Zions Bancorporation is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to create solutions that modernize our IT environment. This engineer will improve customer experience by improving resiliency, security, and automation. This role will work on an agile team building technology products that support the organization's Technology Strategy. This person should have a thorough understanding of one or more infrastructure technology platforms, and will focus on complex engineering, architectural and implementation tasks involving multiple infrastructure domains. Project assignments may be large in scope and highly complex, involving cross functional teams and departments.  The engineer will create documentation of policies and procedures for operational and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Automate using IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Rundeck and Packer, and scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, JavaScript.
• Build and improve infrastructure and application resiliency.
• Partner with Infrastructure Operations to create solutions that enable operational scalability, resiliency, hardening, and efficiency.
• Create solutions that adhere to FFIEC guidelines, and internal security and technology standards.
• Contribute to the design and deployment of enterprise-wide scalable, highly available, secure, and reliable platforms.
• Create roadmaps and engineering solutions across the infrastructure stack.
• Establish reusable patterns to be used across the technology environment.
• Collaborate across different areas within business and technology to create a clear and cohesive vision to drive future state.
• Maintain awareness of industry trends and technologies, recommending timely adjustments to strategies as appropriate.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or related field and 4+ years of relatable experience.  A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications
• Passion to learn technology and engineer solutions that modernize our tech stack.
• Strong analysis, organizational, problem solving and communication skills.
• Continuous learning and growth mindset that finds and implements solutions.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible and Rundeck.
• Strong knowledge of virtualization and containerization.
• Experience with CI/CD processes.
• Knowledge of programming and scripting using Python.
• Experience working with infrastructure technology.
• Ability to solution across the OSI model.
• Creativity and proactiveness to build resilient and modern solutions.
• Good understanding of Network and Security principles.
• Good understanding integration fabric architecture patterns.
• Understanding of automated testing.
• Experience working in an agile development environment.
• Experience with Cloud (GCP, AWS, Azure).

Location:

This position has a hybrid work from home schedule with a minimum of three days per week in the office at the new Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.

The Zions Technology Center is a 400,000-square-foot technology campus in Midvale, Utah.
