We are looking for a lightly experienced (2+ years) to mid-range (5 years) experienced candidate who will grow in to a senior experience over the next 5+ years.
The Senior Accountant is responsible for office management, bookkeeping, and other lending/banking tasks. The position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of accounts payable and receivable transactions and reporting, the general ledger, and coordinates some public sector reporting. The position provides calculations for the Loan Servicer to use when funding loans, and reviews documentation and balances calculations made by the Loan Servicer. Work is accomplished within established and well known procedures and general supervision of the Director of Finance & Administration (DFA).

Review Loan Servicer’s payment postings, check for accuracy and confirm Loan Servicer has correctly transfered funds between NOAH Accounts for new loans, loan sales and payoffs.
Disburse reserve and escrow requests for borrowers, checking for appropriate approvals using third party accounts payable system BILL.
Balance and input accounting work, review closing worksheets for new loans and payoffs, and coordinate new loan fundings and loan payoffs for NOAH.
Develop and record journal entries associated with fundings and payoffs for the DFA’s review.
Ongoing/proactive reconciliation of Customer Accounts
Act as back up to the DFA in processing semi-monthly payroll.
Assist the DFA in preparation of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and related reports
Identify solutions to discrepancies in financial records.
Assist DFA in identifying processes, procedures and forms which can be improved.
Assist DFA with ensuring accounting practices are in compliance with legal guidelines and GAAP
Assist DFA with annual data compilation, uploading and calculation of the Oregon state OAHTC program.
Assemble/compile month end information for the DFA.
Assist the DFA in preparation of schedules and financial reports for the annual audit and mid-year compilation.
Protect and maintain controls over NOAH’s bank accounts and financial practices including close relationship with NOAH’s agent bank and other financial relationships.
Ensure appropriate knowledge of servicing software including ability to enter data/payments as required and test new product developments as needed.
Assist DFA in facilities & office management (f. ex. Orders office supplies. Monitor office equipment and interacts with equipment vendors as needed).
