CNB is looking for a qualified, motivated, and customer- and team-focused individual to join our team as a Loan Operations Assistant in Hillsdale, Michigan.
The Loan Operations Assistant is responsible for efficient and accurate boarding of new and renewed loans onto the Bank’s core system, and loan system maintenance. Ability to multi-task and remain organized is essential in this role. Additionally, a Loan Operations Assistant processes daily system reports, quotes loan payoffs, assist lenders and clients via telephone, and provides quality service to internal and external clients.
DUTIES
Reviews and verifies new loan, loan renewal and loan modification system file maintenance for accuracy.
Reviews and verifies all loan account file maintenance changes are accurate.
Reviews file maintenance reports for completion.
Work with lenders and processors to track all loans are sent to loan operations for retention.
Answer incoming phone calls and routes accordingly.
Quotes mortgage and consumer loan pay, as requested.
Issues loan numbers to lenders and processors as requested.
Perform monthly audit of mortgage reports, and/or committed loan documents.
Assist with scanning and committing loan documents into Director.
Research and resolution for returned mail.
Provides problem resolution as discovered or assigned by others.
Maintains and protects confidentiality of client information.
Maintains regular, on-time attendance.
Remains current in assigned training and continuing education for designation retention (online, video, in-house emails, telephone seminars, etc.)
Complies with all regulatory requirements including Bank Secrecy Act and all others specific to their position.
Performs other various duties as assigned.
CONTACT WITH OTHERS – INTERNAL
Communicates on a regular basis with lenders, processors, and front-line associates.
CONTACT WITH OTHERS – EXTERNAL
Communicates on a regular basis with clients through loan department phone workgroups.
Communicates with title companies about payoff quotes.

High School diploma or equivalent.

Positive and cooperative approach when working with others.
Excellent written communication skills with demonstrated ability to write clearly, concisely and effectively, with attention to detail for visually appealing output and accurately proofreading publications.
Excellent verbal communication skills with the demonstrated ability to effectively present information to clients and management.
Strong administrative skills with effectiveness in developing tasks and managing resources to achieve targets/goals.
Ability to multi-task while paying attention to details.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Knowledge of basic accounting procedures.
Ability to efficiently and accurately keyboard information, both computer and calculator.
Strong computer skills with a proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
