CNB is looking for a qualified, motivated, and customer- and team-focused individuals to join our team as Commercial Loan Processor in Hillsdale and Jackson, Michigan.
JOB SUMMARY
The Commercial Loan Processor’s primary focus is to assist with, but not limited to, all duties supporting the Commercial Loan Department and its lenders.
DUTIES
Prepares and processes loan documents and disbursements of funds for loan requests.
Orders title work, survey, appraisal, appraisal review, flood certification, UCC searches, etc.
Obtains GEO coding, runs OFAC, ensures compliance with CIP and CDD, and obtains proper documentation as required.
Completes UCC filings, continuations and terminations, FAA security agreements, mortgage, and other legal documents as applicable.
Completes and processes HMDA and CRA forms as required.
Completes required forms and processes payments for loans within the Capital Access Program.
Prepares and processes loan extensions, modifications and amendments.
Prints, distributes, and reviews various reports from Director, as needed.
Processes paid notes and prepares discharges, as required, by using the Paid Note Audit report.
Reviews and maintains log for outstanding mortgage filings and title policies, and follows up to obtain items as necessary.
Answers and directs incoming telephone calls for commercial loan department.
Assists and directs customers to appropriate individual for their needs.
Reviews loan files for documentation pending or missing, following up with appropriate individual to obtain documentation.
Assists with processing construction draws and payments, participation loan payments, and wire funds transactions.
Prepares auction letters and/or credit letters.
Assists with maintaining commercial loan files, including filing documents.
Performs secretarial support for all Commercial Lenders, as needed.
Reconciles billing invoice for UCC filings, searches and continuations.
Performs the scanning or importing function for loan documents.
Maintains and protects confidentiality of customer information.
Maintains regular, on-time attendance.
Remains current in assigned training and continuing education for designation retention (online, video, in-house emails, telephone seminars, etc.)
Complies with all regulatory requirements including Bank Secrecy Act and all others specific to their position.
Performs other various duties as assigned.
SKILLS

High school diploma or equivalent.
Loan experience is preferred.
Passion for providing a stellar customer service experience to all customers (external and internal) and ability to instill this passion in others.
Excellent interpersonal skills (tactfulness, cooperation, courteousness and customer friendliness) are necessary to represent the bank in a positive manner.
Positive and cooperative approach when working with others.
Excellent written communication skills with demonstrated ability to write clearly, concisely and effectively, with attention to detail for visually appealing and accurately proofreading publications.
Excellent verbal communication skills with the demonstrated ability to effectively present information to customers and management.
Strong computer skills with a proficiency in MS Office.
Ability to efficiently and accurately keyboard information, both computer and calculator.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
Ability to multi-task while paying attention to details.
