Summary:
This position is responsible for soliciting, negotiating, underwriting and coordinating the closing of major and complex consumer, residential, equipment, SBA, commercial building and business loans in compliance with the Bank’s lending policies and procedures; develops business checking and deposit relationships with customers; and promotes business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develops and maintains successful relationships with commercial, consumer and other lending referral sources, existing and prospective.
Prospects new lending opportunities and responds to customer inquiries.
Maintains an active knowledge base of all the bank’s loan products and an understanding of the qualifications required.
Ensures exceptional customer experience by overseeing loan process from origination to close and providing on-going communication to customers and business partners.
Participates in community efforts to promote home ownership and business development.
Approves loans within established limits of authority and follows bank procedures for those loans exceeding authority limits.
Follows and adheres to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Bank's compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Perform field work as necessary to locate and collect delinquent loan payments or secure collateral.
Reviews past-due and criticized loan reports, supervisory examination and audit loan related findings, and other sources of information for possible downgrading of deteriorating situations.
Follows prescribed underwriting and lending authority and maintains a current NMLS registration.
Be involved in community activities, including but not limited to civic and service organizations such as Rotary and Chambers of Commerce.
Maintain relations with other bankers for purposes of loan participations, employee referrals, and potential information.
May assist in daily branch operations including branch coverage and opening and closing rotations.

Travel: Must be able to travel to other branch locations as needed and can include on-site visits to bank clients to conduct business, inspect collateral and business environment, and improve relations.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent experience.
