Job Description:
At Regions, the Digital Principal User Experience (UX) Architect serves as a leader for the Regions' Digital User Experience (UX) team, driving design excellence across the enterprise. This role responsible for defining and delivering consumer-facing class-leading digital experiences from user insight, concept, all the way through execution. Will work closely with key leaders in product management, technology, and other business groups to create innovative, meaningful solutions that create a desirable customer experience.
Primary Responsibilities
Serves as the subject matter expert to the UX team in the establishment of creative direction and setting of quality control standards
Leads team stakeholder interaction, including project intake processes, demos, requirement gathering, and tradeoff negotiation
Facilitates team meetings, collaboration, internal reviews, quality control, and work tracking
Leads conversations to solve the most complex problems and produce use cases, customer flows, navigation systems, wireframes, content inventories, sitemaps, taxonomy, functional requirements, and proof-of-concepts
Serves as an evangelist for user-centered product design within the organization and works to incorporate user-centered approaches into the organization's product development process
Collaborates with the UX design system team to create cohesive and scalable patterns to be leveraged across product lines, applying established patterns to prototypes and mockups to ensure consistency across products and influence the creation of new patterns for use by UX and development teams
Leads UX collaboration with development teams to ensure development implementation is aligned with original design intent
Informs and participates in usability testing and design reviews
Troubleshoots the most complex usability and accessibility problems
Build expectations and maintain high standards of quality across the team by driving craftmanship and seeking excellence
Serves as a mentor for team members to refine, improve, and develop their skills and knowledge
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
This is a single incumbent position.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Design, Computer Science, Information Sciences, Psychology, Communications, English, Human Factors, Human Centered Design and Engineering, or related field and twelve (12) years of experience designing systems and process structure for web and mobile solutions for enterprise platforms
Or High School Diploma/GED and sixteen (16) years of experience designing systems and process structure for web and mobile solutions for enterprise platforms
Experience with User Experience (UX) design practices, lifecycle and activities, technologies, and disciplines (user research, interaction design, information architecture, visual design, content strategy, accessibility, and front-end development)
Advanced experience incorporating design-thinking methodologies and facilitating workshops with both stakeholders and users to align on solutions
Advanced experience with Agile/Scrum/SAFe development methodologies and ability to align UX processes with multiple Agile process frameworks
Preferences
Experience with complex business models
Conversant knowledge of contemporary web technologies including HyperText Markup Language, Cascading Style Sheets, JavaScript, Responsive Frameworks, Scalable Vector Graphics, and Web Accessibility
Familiarity or experience in Financial Services or other regulated industry
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, and InVision
Proficiency in JIRA or other project and work tracking and documentation process frameworks

Compensation Details
Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
