What You'll do
In this role, you'll be responsible for marketing banking products and services to insurance company clients. You'll support the insurance sales team as they service existing relationships and develop and cultivate relationships with new clients. Act as consultant to clients - negotiating credit arrangements, pitching new solutions, and generating ideas for new business opportunities. You'll be responsible for ensuring the best possible client experience by owning and optimizing the delivery of products, services, and solutions. You'll also track, report, and analyze insurance industry and client performance. This position does not have direct reports.
How you'll make an impact:
- Maintaining and growing insurance company relationships, which are a significant source of product usage and revenue for the bank.
- Helping to support and sustain solutions for insurance clients and have the opportunity to create new ones as we go.
- The role will directly impact a quickly growing client base, including their earnings, operations, and the communities they serve.
What you can expect:
- Ability to identify and interpret trends in funding and capital management needs. Structure loans for clients' working capital, and longer term funding needs
- Develop and execute strategies to increase credit product usage, including liquidity needs, spread investment portfolios, and other liability driven investing strategies
- Leverage internal and external resources to bring desired results for clients and for the Bank
- Manage efficient internal and external communication
- Analyze competitive landscape and provide alternative solutions
- Track and analyze insurance clients' business strategy, financial results, balance sheet changes, and investment portfolio trends
- Keep abreast of current insurance industry, economic, market, and regulatory developments to better identify and service clients
- Monitor investment markets for new strategies, ideas, and opportunities for our insurance company clients
- Responsible for relationship management of ratings agencies, NAIC (National Association of Insurance Commissioners), regulators, and asset managers
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor degree required
- MBA or other advance degree a plus
- 7-10 years of experience creating solutions or performing analysis in treasury/ investment/ finance/actuarial areas of insurance companies or in the asset management or banking space with insurance focus.
- High level of computer proficiency with MS Office suite of products;
- Knowledge of a CRM also highly desirable
- Knowledge of Bloomberg, Tableau, and ALM software a plus
- Exhibit strong written, presentation, and communications skills
- Knowledge of applicable industry laws and regulations
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively
- Intermediate level working knowledge of banking products and services, fixed income products, and derivatives for insurance companies
- Ability to travel about 10%-15% of the time
- Commitment to client service. Proactive individual initiative.
- Adept at summarizing complex analyses and recommendations into practical, actionable conclusions for senior level executives.
