Job Summary:
Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely operations of SBA Community Advantage (CA) loan processing to include but not limited to: completing loan packages for submission to gain approval for a government guarantee including gathering required information and providing supportive narrative for the submission to the government agency, booking loans on a loan operating system, managing loan disbursements, imaging loan documents, verifying and auditing loan input with follow up for loan documentation files (credit/collateral), maintaining document tracking exceptions, completing and reviewing daily reports and balancing, performing loan collateral research and resolving any issues, and processing loan payoffs. Additional duties include working with internal documentation personnel and external customers to obtain items for preparing SBA documentation for loan closings.

Education: Advanced degree in accounting, business, economics, finance or equivalent combination of education/experience preferred.
Certifications/Licenses: None. Attended (or willing to attend) SBA or NAGGL training on the SBA’s Standard Operating Procedures preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Training and Experience: Minimum of 2 years of prior commercial loan operations and commercial loan documentation (UCC search, title work, promissory note, mortgage, etc.) experience required. Prior SBA experience, completing or reviewing government guarantee forms for submission to government agencies or related bank/business experience preferred. Extraordinary attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving abilities. Successful completion of in-house training program. Ability to work collaboratively in a team and autonomously with little guidance. Displays the confidence and competence to gain/maintain MCDC’s credibility. Takes initiative to learn, develop oneself and see things through from start to finish. Proven interpersonal, communication and computer skills; ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, copiers, etc. Ability to multitask between different stages of a commercial loan package (approval, packaging, loan closing, etc.). Comply with all requirements, policies, and procedures.
