Job Description:
At Regions, the L& D Learning Solutions Manager is responsible for driving the exploration, definition, and construction of high impact learning experiences focused on helping associates achieve desired business outcomes. The Learning Solutions Manager oversees the creation, management, and maintenance of enterprise custom learning assets including compliance and regulatory training; leadership development curricula; corporate-wide and business unit initiatives; role-specific new hire and advanced skills training for all business units. Regions' Learning and Development organization serves more than 21,000 associates annually.
Primary Responsibilities
Champions the Regions learning culture in creating, supporting and deploying learner-centric learning solutions involving a wide array of learning strategies including blended e-learning, digital, micro learning, online coaching, and traditional approaches
Sets goals, defines standards and facilitates professional development of Learning Solutions as a team and as individuals
Manages portfolios of projects simultaneously, including establishing priorities, distributing responsibilities, evaluating project plans, managing against milestones, knowing what to prioritize all under aggressive deadlines.
Partners with learning technology on the learning management system (LMS) and associated online learning technologies - evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of the LMS, managing and resolving system issues and proactively planning for system enhancements
Consults on diverse business problems, think creatively, and draw on learning and performance experience to develop learning that anticipates and responds to business strategies and organizational change
Stays current on emerging digital trends, practices, and technologies and be available as a development resource for others to keep the department future-focused
Performs vendor management including selecting appropriate vendor, negotiating contracts, executing risk management, monitoring existing projects, and handling disputes and quality issues
Effectively balance insourced and outsourced learning solutions and makes sound project assignments based on critical decision factors (e.g., current workloads, budgets, capabilities)
Ensures L&D products are reviewed at the appropriate levels with legal, marketing, and business stakeholders
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Twelve (12) years of experience in the field or in a related area
Preferences
Master's degree in area of specialty
Experience in the banking or financial industry, or other regulated industry
Skills and Competencies
Advanced project management and organizational skills, including the ability to execute on a number of diverse projects simultaneously while managing details and meeting deadlines
Established track record for taking a consultative approach to designing and delivering innovative learning programs with measurable business results that meet stakeholder needs
Influential interpersonal and critical thinking skills
Maturity, confidence, and client relationship skills-in particular, experience acting as a thought partner to senior colleagues leading specific initiatives
Possess a keen understanding of adult learning and a focus on innovative learning strategies designed to meet the needs of the modern learner
Strong critical thinking to identify interdependencies between issues, data, and outcomes; clear understanding of how moving pieces come together to build the big picture
Strong proficiency using various hardware and software programs: Microsoft Office, eLearning software, and working experience with Learning Management Systems
Strong verbal and written communication skills in various mediums to interact with all levels of the company
This role may be filled off site/remote if in a major Regions footprint city/location such as Charlotte, Atlanta, Tampa, Nashville, Dallas.
