Job Description:
At Regions, the Commercial Card Account Manager is responsible for optimizing existing Commercial Card relationships across the footprint with a primary focus on growth and retention. This position partners with the Commercial Card Sales Consultant as well as other internal business partners to define areas of opportunity. This position also serves as a consultant to existing clients, assisting them with implementing overall day to day efficiencies.
Primary Responsibilities
Partners with Relationship Managers and Commercial Card Consultants to develop Relationship Plans for existing Commercial Card relationships that are not yet achieving anticipated spend targets
Calls existing Commercial Card clients and works in a consultative manner to identify opportunities to optimize customer relationship and maximize program utilization
Prepares sales presentations and proposals for existing Card clients, explains the various services offered, and identifies bank services that would benefit the customer
Leverages industry benchmarking tools from VISA and other internal data analytics to prioritize opportunities
Increases customer loyalty and retention through Card relationship optimization
Maintains strong communication with Relationship Managers, Treasury Management Consultants, and Commercial Card Consultants to keep them abreast of sales activities and refer business opportunities
Utilizes industry and client experience and participates in the pricing of products and services when appropriate
Acts as subject matter expert for product feature functionality and web-based technology platforms utilized by customers
Expands revenue stream from existing customer relationships, meets individual sales goals, and assists the Regional Sales Manager in executing sales strategies and in meeting department goals
Ensures compliance with Business Standards of Conduct and all Patriot Act, CIP, Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, information security and suspicious activity reporting requirements, and other regulatory and compliance policies and procedures; Actively participates in any required corporate and business line Compliance Training
May mentor or lead a team of more junior staff
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or four (4) years of experience in Treasury Management
Three (3) years of Commercial Card (or related product) experience
Overnight and day travel approximately 25% of time
Skills and Competencies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to function professionally at many different levels (clients, management, peers)
Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office
Strong sales aptitude, with the ability to work independently
Strong analytical skills
