Job Description:
At Regions, the Digital Design Operations Manager is responsible for the User Experience (UX) team's business operations while ensuring design excellence to drive the team's culture, craft, and priorities. This role acts as a bridge between UX, cross functional partners, and leadership, collaborating with and supporting the team to produce best-in-class designs.
As part of the larger UX leadership group, this position is a key player in building a genuinely collaborative culture within both UX as well as with product and technology partners. This role will have the opportunity to co-create new operational models and frameworks that will have an immediate impact by driving value for our customers. You will lead a team that successfully operationalizes design at Regions, focusing on improved process, better team coordination, design tooling, and design culture.
Primary Responsibilities
Ensures creation, evolution and adoption of strong and scalable design processes, design standards and metrics
Develops, manages, and communicates to design leadership key metrics on the health of UX operations
Collaborates with team members on horizontal initiatives, as well as take on responsibilities in other parts of the greater UX organization as resourcing requires
Drives required changes to make sure team members are working at optimum efficiency
Partners with squads to prepare presentations, workshops, and related brand design interactions
Conducts regular status meetings with point persons from relevant teams to assure the coordination of all projects is up-to-date and clearly communicated
Organizes and maintains departmental resources, including assisting with budgeting and training allocations
Responsible for managing staff, including mentoring, performance development and recruitment
Focuses on UX team ops for the whole UX organization: community/culture, learning/growth, and systems/tools
Builds a nascent program for product UX ops that looks at productivity/delivery, project/program management, and resource allocation
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
This is a single incumbent position.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Design, Computer Science, Information Sciences, Psychology, Communications, English, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or related field and seven (7) years of design operations, design agency, design management or relevant experience
Or High School Diploma/GED and eleven (11) years of design operations, design agency, design management or relevant experience
Preferences
Master's degree in related field
Experience working in an Agile environment strongly preferred

Compensation Details
Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the national range and level of the position.

Incentive Pay Plans:
This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary incentive plan. Employees are eligible to receive a discretionary award based on individual, business, and/or company performance.Opportunity to participate in the Long Term Incentive Plan.
