Under the direction of the VP of Human Resources, the Employee Development Business Partner develops, coordinates, and implements employee training and development initiatives for business departments within the bank. This includes training and for products, procedures, retail initiatives, professional and personal development, and regulatory and general new hire orientation.
Conducts in-house training sessions; creates learning objectives based on training assessments, designs course content, develops training materials and decides method of instruction.
Coordinates and participates in training needs assessment and makes recommendations for applicable software programs such as those contained in Microsoft Office. Responsible for working with third party technology and training services to coordinate orientations.
Assesses bank wide training needs; including people management, products, services and sales. Recommends and develops appropriate programs. Participates in research for grant opportunities for training and identifies needs for secured funds.
Will evaluate and recommend industry specific external training webinars, programs, certifications, or degrees by job family and communicate via Savers intranet and ultimately create a centralized library of employee training resources.
Responsible for training, coaching and developing bank employees to support the Bank’s strategic plan and annual focused goals/projects. Coaching responsibilities encompass individual one-on-one coaching for skills development during the initial training period and supporting post-training coaching, as needed.
Conducts new employee orientations. Coordinates training schedule with HR Generalist and manager. Maintains comprehensive records and proper documentation with regards to new hire training & training materials including annual compliance training.
Facilitates project teams; ensuring objectives are clear, plan is developed and put into place, and results are evaluated after the project is complete.
Exemplifies and promotes the desired culture and philosophies of the organization by working closely with the Human Resources team and business partners.
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or education preferred
Minimum of 5 years experience in a banking
Minimum of 2 years training and development experience
Detailed knowledge and understanding of Bank regulations, policies, procedures and systems.
Knowledge of training principles, practices, methods, and programs
Experience in the design and implementation of employee training
Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor
Must be a self-motivated, resourceful, and innovative individual with proven ability to interface effectively with all levels within the organization
Proficiency with computer systems, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to handle confidential information and deal with sensitive issues in a discrete and ethical manner.
