Job Description:
At Regions, the Information Technology Asset Manager is responsible for the strategic management of software and hardware assets as well as performing extensive financial analyses for cost-effective acquisition programs.
Primary Responsibilities
Collaborates with Technology teams in determining short-term and long-term software and hardware requirements
Establishes frameworks, policies, and standards for full lifecycle management of all hardware and software technology assets from acquisition through disposal, ensuring compliance with internal and external policies and KPI's
Contributes to the determination of plans and selection criteria for acquiring technology hardware and software assets
Prioritizes asset inventory roadmaps to ensure focus on overall asset management strategic objectives
Structures and negotiates terms and licensing agreements with outside suppliers to obtain the required products that meet business requirements at the most cost-effective terms
Identifies key asset attributes and builds unique data gathering processes to ensure repeatable and accurate capturing and reporting related to assets
Manages external vendors following the Third Party, Risk, and Procurement processes in support of Information Technology Asset Management
Develops lease/buys models for software and hardware to ensure operational integrity and cost-effectiveness
Contributes to governance, processes, and reporting of ITAM data including key reports
Acts as system owner for applications used to track and report on software and hardware assets including feature and vendor management activities
May provide advice and guidance to less-experienced Asset Managers
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in related field
Four (4) years of experience in technology asset management, project management, or related field
Skills and Competencies
Ability to learn additional systems as needed
Ability to research, analyze data, and derive facts
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
Strong work ethic and self-motivation
Primary Responsibilities
Scale-up the share of SAM managed software solutions at Regions
Drive cost savings through optimized license utilization
Expand the offering of software catalog items to speed up license provisioning and improve the Regions end user experience
Ensure license compliance and usage of the latest supported versions of the software
Drive ongoing software decommissioning to minimize the risk of future vulnerabilities
Leverage ITAM foundational tools (ServiceNow, discovery/inventory & endpoint security tools) to track and efficiently manage Regions rapidly evolving IT environment
Reflect key results in periodic reports that advise leadership's decisions on technology spend, risk mitigation, and endpoint security
Partner with platform engineering teams to seamlessly deliver technology to end users
Partner with multi-functional teams to remove inefficiencies and drive solutions
Requirements
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Information Technology, Information Security/Assurance, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field of study, or any combination of relevant equivalent experience, education, and training
5 years of experience demonstrating strong domain expertise in Asset Management and/or Procurement and/or Sourcing and/or Vendor Management and/or IT Risk Management
Skills and Competencies
Data engineering experience including working with APIs to query and load data.
Public cloud (AWS/Azure) and Linux administration experience
Data visualization skills, transforming data into practical insights
Familiarity with asset management tools like ServiceNow and CMDB technologies
Familiarity with discovery tools like Tanium, CrowdStrike, Rapid7, JAMF, SCCM, SolarWinds and Wiz
Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
Perseverance and demonstrated track-record of delivering business results
Highly accountable self-starter who thrives in a matrix environment

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the national range and level of the position.
