Job Description:
At Regions, the Digital Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Manager leads a team of search engine optimization strategists that drive brand awareness and customer conversion with measurable results.
As part of our larger Digital User Experience (UX) team, through this person's efforts, Regions can achieve higher organic search engine rankings, make our content more discoverable to customers and prospects and improve our conversion rates while fighting off increased competition. While SEO targets search engines, the larger UX team focuses on the customers and prospects that use our various digital platforms. Both share a common goal of giving our users the best experience. This role brings a holistic methodology to search engine optimization by thinking at a systems level about integrated approaches and creating positive content experiences for users.
Primary Responsibilities
Leads organic growth initiatives with a cross-functional team to execute SEO best practices and strategies
Coaches and develops a data-focused, results-oriented, innovative, and inclusive team of SEO Strategists
Develops the vision, strategy, and roadmaps for SEO
Leverages data and market insights for decision making, including content and technical optimization
Leads the effort to educate and evangelize about the need to optimize for search across digital platforms
Reports regularly on SEO key performance indicators
Communicates with digital banking stakeholders about SEO strategies, tactics, deliverables, and performance
Represents and advocates for the organic search channel in blended search initiatives, informing paid search strategy as need to ensure efficient and optimal search performance at the enterprise level.
Works as the organic search subject matter expert for the organization
Manages the suite of SEO tools needed for the organization, including budget justification, procurement, and vendor management
Assists the team when needed on keyword research, content optimizations, backlink analysis, technical audits, etc.
Stays up to date on current SEO industry trends and technologies
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
This is a single incumbent position.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative, marketing, communication, or related discipline and eight (8) years on-site technical SEO, content strategy development and site audit experience
Or High School Diploma/GED and twelve (12) years on-site technical SEO, content strategy development and site audit experience
Deep understanding of SEO best practices and an aptitude for continued education and growth in the search space
Preferences
Experience with software for data, tracking and analytics, including Conductor, Moz, Google Search Console, ScreamingFrog and other comparable tools sets
Local search optimization experience, experience with Yext a plus
Management experience
Skills and Competencies

Be a thought leader who can share trends and behaviors on digital media to optimize existing platforms as well as properties that are not currently used or that are underutilized

Compensation Details
Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

Incentive Pay Plans:
This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary incentive plan. Employees are eligible to receive a discretionary award based on individual, business, and/or company performance.Opportunity to participate in the Long Term Incentive Plan.
