We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Manager of Payment Risk Services to join the Operations team at Bridgewater Bank in St. Louis Park. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a culture payment of risk awareness, prevention and early detection across all payment channels while supporting the client-facing departments of the Bank. This newly created position will formulate and lead the Payment Risk services functions by deploying fraud prevention and detection controls while ensuring alignment within the team and with the Bank’s strategic objectives. As a leader, you will maintain awareness of market trends, industry standards and competitive strategies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Install a culture of Payment Fraud Risk awareness by providing the framework for proper support and training to the client facing departments of the Bank
Manage and further develop the Payments Fraud Risk program and strategy for client facing payment channels including ACH Origination, Remote and Mobile Deposit, Debit Card, and all other electronic/non-electronic payment channels.
Responsible for first party Payments Risk Management, including Loss Prevention, Mitigation and Fraud Risk Management.
Develop payments fraud policies/standards/procedures to mitigate and manage risk.
Ensure a fraud alert process and program is adopted and utilized
Develop and maintain payments compliance framework/methodologies and assessments to ensure business payments fraud practices comply with applicable law, rules, and regulatory expectations.
Develop strategic partnerships with internal stakeholders and partners to understand fraud trends.
Ensure effective internal payment fraud risk management efforts and program enhancements exist that support the Bank’s overall Enterprise Risk Management mission and initiatives.
Conduct Risk Assessments of new and existing client facing products, ensure appropriate fraud controls exist and if not, make recommendations for improvement.
Be accountable for the development of the fraud dashboard including KPIs and KRIs to assist in reporting and managing fraud activity.
Lead a Team, provide timely coaching, feedback, and direction to employees to help them develop their capabilities and enable them to perform to their utmost potential.
Collaborate with the Risk Department and functional leaders across the business to facilitate feedback loops around fraud management and related business needs. This collaboration will lead to clear and efficient product road-mapping, planning, prioritization, and an overall effective fraud development process.
Be an active participant in the Digital Risk and Operational Risk Committees.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience
5-7 years of experience in Payment Risk Management within Banking or Financial Services
Extensive knowledge in financial risk prevention methods and detection tools
Strong Program/Project Management experience as it relates to Payment Fraud management and Payment Compliance.
Excellent written, oral and presentation skills and an ability to synthesize information and make concise recommendations on a course of action
Outstanding analytical skills with the ability to understand diverse and complex information and data and design refined strategies, solutions, workflows, and procedures
