Zions Bancorporation has an opportunity for a versatile Data Engineer with PostgreSQL, SQL, Power BI, Database, Python, Warehouse, Analytics, and ETL experience to join the Digital Strategy Project team that works on broad and engaging projects to expand our digital presence through cutting edge technologies.
As a data engineer you will be responsible for providing administrative, relevant, contextual information and support to enable new delightful digital and mobile experiences and secure data operations for our users.
This individual will:
Administer and participate in various database and data warehouse design and operations activities. (e.g., resilience, performance, quality, security, etc)
Create reports and data dashboards for technology, business, and regulatory functions.
Create solutions and/or automation leveraging various technologies. (e.g., Python, SQL, JavaScript, Cloud tool sets, Power BI, APEX, etc)
Design and integrate with both internal and external APIs.
Administer roles, profiles, sharing rules, flows, permission sets, and groups.
Document and showcase feature designs/workflows demonstrating created solutions directly to stakeholders and/or customers.
Research, analyze and recommend technology features, functionality, and development solutions for our digital platform.
Collaborate with technology and business partners to iteratively build robust and scalable solutions.
Champion and participate in Agile ceremonies and methodologies and demonstrate the value of incremental value delivery.
Document health of systems and identify key events/triggers.
Define and document standards, procedures, and best practices.
Stay current on industry latest trends and technologies.
Experience with public, private, and/or hybrid cloud implementations.
Understanding and experience with relational and NoSQL database principles.
Create data visualization and transparency leveraging multiple technologies.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Data Management, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Data Science or equivalent experience. Master's degree in directly related field may be counted toward experience.
2-3 years of experience with SQL or other query language and ETL.
1-2 years of experience with Python or similar language.
1-2 years of broad cloud platform knowledge and cloud data toolsets.
1-2 years of cloud-based database administration.
Demonstrate working knowledge of industry analytics tools. (e.g. Google Analytics, Heap.io, etc)
The Digital Banking team works on a variety of products to expand our digital presence through cutting edge technologies. You can be on the front line of our entrepreneurial projects based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
This position requires regular face-to-face interaction with teams, business stakeholders, and executives in Salt Lake City, Utah. We will consider candidates in the area, able to relocate to the area, or working remotely but willing to travel regularly to Salt Lake City.
