Zions Bancorporation is looking for a Software Asset Management (Business Analyst) to join its IT Asset Management team. The analyst will work closely with Configuration Management, Change Management, IT Vendor Management, Procurement, Infrastructure and Operations teams to help maintain the day-to-day records and databases responsible for containing information pertaining to the organization's software assets. Additionally, the analyst will be responsible for evaluating and handling multiple license types and software licensing applications, as well as conducting software compliance audits to maintain an effective software asset management program.
The Software Asset Management (Business Analyst) will:
Be subject matter expert for software license related questions pertaining to number of installs, purchases and provide licensing knowledge and advisory services to stakeholders to maximize the value of Software Asset Management
Work with various business users to review, analyze and evaluate business systems and make recommendations for improvements and changes
Assist in Software audit activities, working with the Governance team, the Configuration Management team and Vendor Management
Assess the completeness of existing application information through queries, data analysis, owner surveys and/or engagement
Support the measurement of software compliance and remediation plans to satisfy regulatory, audit, or business requirements
Support the development of roadmaps, including high-level needs analysis, solution evaluation and preparation of business cases related to proposed solutions
Maintain knowledge of key Vendor licensing models, working with Vendor Management to understand the clients' specific commercial relationships
Apply various analytical tools and software application experience to increase quality, productivity, and overall effectiveness of installed software
Analyze large data sets and provide insight on identified trends, risks, and gaps
Formulate proposals for new systems, procedures and/ or processes
Assist in developing user documentation and departmental policies and procedures that impact the use of application systems
Perform project management leadership functions as a project manager or team member
Generate technical reports with data visualization tools

Qualifications:
Working knowledge of business systems (ServiceNow, Azure Dev Ops, Microsoft SCCM), systems analysis processes, procedures, project techniques and practices. Knowledge of department specific system applications or products
Working knowledge of Tier 1 vendor license models (Microsoft, VMware, IBM)
Proficient using Excel and other data analysis tools
Working knowledge of data visualization tools including Power BI
Ability to elicit, gather and analyze user requirements
Strong presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to function in a consultative role and manage a team or project
Requires strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with both management and staff employees
Ability to manage time and workload effectively which includes planning, organizing, and prioritizing with attention to detail
Preferred- Bachelor's in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field and 4+ years' experience in business analysis, project management, multiple technologies, frameworks, systems or other directly related experience
A combination of education and experience may meet requirements

This position has a hybrid work from home schedule with a minimum of three days per week in the office at the Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.
