Zions Bancorporation is accepting applications for a Business Continuity Manager to join the team. The position can be located at any of our operations centers in Houston, TX, Las Vegas, NV, Phoenix, AZ, Los Angeles, CA, Denver, CO or at our new Tech Center in Midvale, UT. The position offers a 3/2 hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities:
Role will report to, and work in conjunction with the Business Continuity Leader to shape strategic program direction and provide support for the design, implementation, and maturation of a comprehensive Business Continuity program for Zions Bancorporation.
Ideal candidate will help implement a robust framework to ensure consistent program execution across the enterprise, and to support regulatory compliance and risk management responsibilities.
Communicate and oversee the implementation of business continuity program strategy, methodology and objectives for business impact analysis, risk assessment, plan development and maintenance, testing, reviews, and training consistent with regulatory expectations.
Support the development and maintenance of BC policies, standards, and procedures as part of the overall governance framework to ensure that the program is implemented in accordance with internal policies and standards, and that regulatory expectations for control, monitoring and reporting of risk are satisfied.
Drive execution and governance of Business Continuity program consistent with policy and regulatory guidance while driving synergies across the internal and external team.
Identify opportunities to drive program maturity and partner with stakeholders across to ensure continuous improvement.
Establish a robust metric and reporting framework to communicate program status, performance, compliance, recovery gaps, risks and other issues to Zions leadership as necessary.
Support the development and preparation of management reports and presentations as necessary.
Work with management to ensure the development, implementation and testing of business resumption/continuity plans to ensure continuity of the business performance in the event of an emergency.
Build and improve business continuity processes by gaining knowledge and incorporating best practices from internal and external sources.
Work with management to support training and development of junior staff to drive program execution against objectives.
Assist with 2LOD, 3LOD and regulatory engagements.
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor's in business, finance or related field.
6+ years experience in business continuity planning, emergency and incident planning and analysis, concepts, methodology and regulatory requirement or other directly related experience.
Must have management or supervisory experience.
A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
Knowledge of banking operations a plus.
Expert knowledge of business continuity planning, emergency and incident planning, analysis, concepts, methodology and regulatory requirements.
Expert analytical, leadership, organizational, communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to respond in a stressful environment created during emergency situations.
Ability to identify and implement back up strategies.
Must be detail oriented.
Excellent human relations, problem resolution and management skills.
Must have working knowledge of disaster recovery technologies, including networks, platforms and software applications.
Ability to set and maintain high quality work standards.
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $108,000 to $140,000 plus bonus annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience and location.
