Job Description:
At Regions, the Technology Systems Manager manages the Information Technology (IT) infrastructure within the organization, including the physical network (e.g., WAN/LAN, servers, terminals) as well as server applications and software (e.g., PeopleSoft, Oracle).
Primary Responsibilities
Configures, installs, maintains, and upgrades server applications and hardware
Provides advanced technical support to the organization's internal users of computer applications and hardware (e.g., PCs, servers, mainframes)
Answers questions regarding system procedures, online transactions, systems status, and downtime procedures
Collaborates with network services, software systems engineering, and/or application development to restore service and/or identify problems
Plans and manages multiple complex projects
Provides strategies that focus on business initiatives and increasing overall customer satisfaction
Participates in continuous improvement projects
Assists senior management in ensuring goals and objectives are clearly communicated and attained on a consistent basis
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and ten (10) years of related experience of which three (3) must be in a lead/supervisory or managerial capacity
Or High School Diploma/GED and fourteen (14) years of experience of which three (3) must be in a lead/supervisory or managerial capacity

Candidates should have 10+ years of experience with expertise in the skills/duties listed below:
Provides day-to-day management for system programming staff across multiple disciplines, to include DB2, z/OS, Network, CICS, and Storage, to support BFS business process
Ensures change and incident management process is adhered to, and consults with management and development teams on engineering and support issues
Tracks and manages audit and compliance requirements for the mainframe platform
Ensures the processing environment for both hardware and software is maintained and at current and supported levels
Implements technical solutions to meet new requirements of the business
Acts as the primary change coordinator, along with team members, for all mainframe change activity as it relates to the platform. Ensures change management practices are being followed by all platform team members. Resolves and manages Remedy incidents as required
Oversees, supports, and develops design of mainframe technology operating with complete redundant processing, utilizing automation, and data replication techniques
Supports the design and configuration of the various system components for the z/OS system hardware to configure the Z-Series mainframe and its supporting hardware devices. These can include, but not limited to, storage arrays, tape devices, printers, system consoles, and telecommunication devices
Oversees and manages the activity for engineering third party tool products from vendors
Ensures engineering team maintains, installs, engineers, and patches system and third party products to maintain supported levels
Plans and supports upgrades to z/OS operating systems
Ensure Operations team provides daily status/activity report to include incident, change, and platform activity to management
Coordinates platform activity as needed to ensure communication and coordination of all mainframe incident and change activity where applicable
Provide weekly and monthly reporting of mainframe contracting activities

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
