Purpose of Position: This position manages the Product Operations department and works with Bank task forces to develop new products and services. This position also oversees all aspects of Deposit, Time, IRA and Safe Deposit Box accounts with relation to opening, maintenance and closing.
Manage the CIF, Time Deposit, and New Account areas, providing direction, performance feedback and essential back-up
Identify potential SilverLake setup/parameter problems and possible resolutions
Monitor system changes, interest rate calculations and deposit account adjustments
Respond to questions regarding the SilverLake, OnBoard deposit system, and deposit documentation requirements
Support year-end process, including but not limited to verifying and correcting tax forms prior to transmitting to JHA and mailing
Recruit, hire, assign jobs, promote, conduct performance appraisals, counsel, discipline and terminate employees; mentor and coach employees in performance management, skill development and personal growth
Conduct system maintenance and review, including but not limited to second day check for daily maintenance performed within the department, employee account maintenance as directed by Human Resources, and monitoring maintenance on daily reports
Develop and maintain knowledge of regulations that affect Bank deposit products and Product Operations; implement changes as necessary
Perform system parameter changes as approved and directed by management.
Monitor existing procedures, documents and regulations affecting Product Operations, and suggest or implement changes as appropriate
Monitor system changes and usage for accuracy and adherence to Bank policy and procedures
Maintain and update departmental procedures manual
Maintain all Onboard Deposit System account documentation.
Promote the Culture of Excellence and ensure that staff consistently uphold it
High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
5 or more years of banking industry experience in operations focused on deposit products
In-depth knowledge of the Jack Henry SilverLake system preferred
Demonstrated ability to manage staff to maximize knowledge, morale, accuracy, efficiency, and tenure, with prior direct management or supervisory experience
High level computer proficiency; full understanding of Microsoft Office products and similar applications
Ability to interpret data and provide recommendations
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to problem-solve and make decisions to resolve problems; ability to organize and prioritize tasks
Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal)
