Mortgage Lender Responsibilities and Duties: - Solicits and accepts residential mortgage loan applications while developing relationships within the community, specifically with the real estate community.
- Conducts a preliminary review of loan applications to determine eligibility and provide financing options.
- Serve as the main point of contact with the customer throughout the home buying process, ensuring all appropriate documentation is obtained.
- Maintain a high level of trust with customers including confidentially.
- Expand job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Operate in compliance with all laws, regulations, and bank policies.
Mortgage Loan Officer Skills and Qualifications: - Financial Skills, Financial Software, Customer Service, Thoroughness, Confidentiality, Analyzing Information, Decision Making, Verbal Communication, Professionalism, Quality Focus
- 3-5 years of mortgage lending experience with comprehensive knowledge of both conventional and government lending programs.
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.
- Candidate must also qualify for a valid NMLS certification.
