The New Washington State Bank is looking for a talented Compliance Specialist to add to our compliance team. This position helps ensure the organization complies with regulatory requirements and applicable policies and procedures governing business practices. They will collaborate with the Chief Compliance Officer in the identification, measurement, and monitoring of compliance risks within the institution. This position will perform reviews of deposit compliance including, but not limited to, Reg CC, BSA, AML, CTR, CIP, and OFAC. Additional duties may also include review of loan compliance, bank wide training, and additional bank policies as deemed necessary by the Chief Compliance Officer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assists the Chief Compliance Officer in developing, implementing, and monitoring the bank’s compliance policies.
Continually assesses and identifies potential compliance risks within the bank.
Conducts bank wide compliance training.
Provides support to the Chief Compliance Officer and members of senior management by assisting with various bank related projects/tasks.
Ensures that all bank personnel understand the compliance program and their responsibility in following its guidelines. Be available to communicate/assist staff with questions/issue that may arise.
Prepares appropriate reports in a timely manner.
Follows all company policies and practices and set an example for others in the branch to follow.
Reviews the bank’s deposit and loan compliance.
Conducts regular audits to identify potential weaknesses and noncompliance situations.
Stays up to date with changing regulations and laws and attends additional training/education when needed.

Work involves contact with the public, necessitating the ability to present a professional image.
Demonstrated ability to work and lead a team environment, interacting well, and in a positive manner, with staff, co-workers and senior management.
Comfortable with computer programs and willingness to learn in order to excel in use of all systems including core system, CSI, Word, Excel, etc.
