Responsible for the evaluation and underwriting of SBA loan applications to determine creditworthiness and compliance.
Reviews and analyzes all customer financial information to ensure sound credit decisions are made.
Documents the detail and requirements of loan decisions, including conditions to close.
Successfully communicate with SBA via eTran or SBA One to obtain a correct SBA Loan Authorization for each transaction.
Responsible for overall compliance of SBA portfolio to ensure clean internal audits and clean external SBA audits.
Maintains knowledge of Busey lending policies, risk rating requirements and compliance standards.
Team Management Functions:
Responsible for creating a cooperative customer experience between internal/external customers. Ensure each SBA loan application is a first rate customer experience.
Manage and develop the careers of credit analysts; further building out a team of engaged credit-minded associates
Experience with and working knowledge of Small Business Administration 7a, Express, Capline loan programs and closing SBA loans.
Experience with loan portfolio management and oversight
Familiarity with loan documentation
Strong oral and written communication skills
Working knowledge of current version of SBA SOP.

Requires Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Business or Finance.
Requires 5-10 years of Commercial Credit experience.
