Arundel Federal Savings Bank located in Anne Arundel county seeks a Compliance Officer to manage risk for the bank. The Compliance Officer will support the business units with their compliance needs.

As the Compliance Officer you will be responsible for:
Responsible for developing, implementing, managing, maintaining and enhancing a Compliance Program that is commensurate with the Bank’s overall risk profile. The Compliance Program should include all applicable federal consumer regulations.
Maintain a current knowledge of laws, regulations and guidance that is applicable to the bank and monitor legislative and regulatory developments.
Serve as liaison for external compliance reviews, e.g. the OCC, Thomas Compliance Associates, Inc. etc. Acts as the point of contact for the engagement, requested documentation, and review of the draft report.
Participate in the bank’s review process for proposed products/services, vendors and marketing material.
Act as a resource to business line management on regulatory changes. Provide guidance on developing and implementing solutions for regulatory changes, new processes, and deficiencies/issues.

Are you the one we need? If you are, you’ll have these qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 to 5 years’ regulatory compliance experience in financial institutions.
Ability to conduct thorough research, interpret and understand laws and regulations, and to provide workable recommendations and solutions to problems.
Excellent verbal, written, telephone and interpersonal communication skills.
Detail oriented with strong analytical and judgement skills.
Broad knowledge of, and practical experience with, Bank or other financial institution operations, functions, products and services and the laws and regulations which apply to Banks.
Able to self-initiate projects and to work independently.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and change priorities simultaneously.
Ability to work with all levels of Bank management, staff and customers.
Some local travel required.
CRCM and/or ICBA certification is a plus but not required.
