To fully engage in office activities and decision making by being an active participant in the daily branch function through performing front line functions as required, opening deposit account and originating consumer loan requests. Opens new accounts, refers and cross-sells the bank’s products and services, and handles consumer loan requests. Participates with branch management in maintaining a customer-focused environment and developing new ideas to increase business that will help achieve customer relationship objectives. This position includes 70% of time spent on sales and service, 20% on Operations, and 10% spent on Leadership activities. Personal Bankers are expected to recognize that in order to provide Service Excellence a customer’s experience should always be consistent whether they are online, using a mobile device, speaking to us over the phone or visiting us in person. In order to maintain this all Personal Bankers must consistently follow and model VCNB Service Standards. PB3 is expected to demonstrate a mastery of all skills learned in the Personal Banker I and II roles, specifically in the areas of Front Line, Deposit Accounts and Consumer Lending. Additionally a continued display of outstanding communication skills and unparalleled customer service is expected.
?Operate effectively on the Retail floor, which includes the front line functions. Must function on the front line as needed, or during lunches, staff shortages, or high volume traffic.
? Develop customer relationships through outside calling efforts and make phone calls to generate sales leads and connect with customers.
?Promotes the bank’s services and products and is responsible for securing both new deposit and consumer loan relationships for the bank.
? Serves existing customers in accordance with all established deposit and loan policies and procedures, and makes changes to accounts as necessary.
? Accurately and efficiently opens new deposit accounts and consumer loan accounts including home equity loans.
? Granting and servicing of secured and unsecured loans with emphasis on consumer customers, with the ability to effectively meet with applicants and underwrite the credit request.
?Functions on the Front Line, balances the branch and ATM, as needed.
?Exercise independent judgment and discretion within job duties.
