Performs a variety of assignments connected with New Accounts and Teller services. New Accounts includes opening and servicing accounts such as checking, savings, IRA's, CD's, wires, etc. Provides customers with information on deposit accounts, rates, service charges, restrictions, and other relevant account information. Prepares paperwork for opening new accounts, orders checks and Debit cards, and provides starter checks. Researches and resolves problems and responds to customers inquires on account status. Cross sells other bank services and refers customers to other departments as appropriate. Must stay informed of bank services and procedures. Teller receives and pays out moneys, and maintains accurate records of all transactions. cashes checks within assigned limits following our Check Cashing Policy. Accepts savings deposits and withdrawals, verifies signatures. Accepts loan, credit card, and other payments. Issues cashier's checks and redeems savings bonds. Prepares daily settlements of teller cash and proof transactions and balances as required. Hours could vary and must be flexible.
Previous teller or new account experience preferred, but not required. Must have strong communication skills and the ability to deal with the public. Must be capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously. Must have excellent customer service.
