The Information Technology Specialist will help with the development, implementation and use of technology throughout the bank. The qualified candidate will work closely with management and help provide leadership and direction for the IT department; maintaining all operations, responsibilities and requirements of the Bank information technology department, including but not limited to network infrastructure, core system applications and end user systems. Assists in the development of IT strategies, policies and planning. This person is expected to learn emerging technologies and resolve any issues involved in integrating new technologies with existing systems. The IT Specialist is a key technical resource, providing advice, training and technical support for various projects. Provides professional service at all levels of operation. The IT Specialist will also converse, support and work with all employees across the organization to promote and achieve our corporate mission, vision and core values.
Assist in the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, telephones, and software applications.
Assist with the development and implementation of effective information services planning and strategies.
Effective analysis and implementation regarding Electronic Services, including but not limited to ATM’s, home banking, mobile apps and remote deposit services.
Assumes responsibility for the effective supervision of the IT department personnel, ensuring optimal performance.
Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all employees and management.
Ensuring that professional business relations are established and maintained with employees, vendors, trade professionals, etc.
Responsible for compliance with FDIC and State banking regulations and is the point of contact for external auditors and examiners.
Responsible for monitoring and oversight of daily, monthly, and quarterly reports from Network vendors.
Assist in the development and implementation of all IT policies and procedures, including those for security, disaster recovery, purchasing, and service provision.
Manage servers, security solutions, network hardware and equipment.
Manage telecommunications infrastructure and development plans, projects, policies and procedures.
Negotiate, manage, and administer vendor, outsource, and consultant contracts and service agreements.
Maintain systems compliance with bank security policies and procedures.
Provide Strategic Planning information to Senior Management.
IT Team for Disaster Recovery.
Contributing member of the IT Steering Committee.
Review existing and compose new policies as needed, subject to review by Senior Management.
Perform special projects and additional tasks as assigned by management.
Minimum of 8-10 years IT banking experience, including an assistant branch manager position.
BS or BA degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or related technology degree.
At least 5years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
MCSE, CCNA, VCP or 5 additional years of field experience.
Ability to work productively in a team environment.
Must be flexible and be willing to work additional hours as needed.
Must possess excellent verbal and written and interpersonal skills.
Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and basic computer software.
Must have high level analytical skills, knowledge and application of banking regulations.
Must have good organizational skills and time management skills.
Must be detail oriented and possess strong judgment and initiative.
Ability to interact with all levels of staff and management.
