Job Summary:

Under the guidance of the President/CEO, the Chief Operations Officer/IT Officer is responsible for the direction of the Bank's Operations and Information Technology functions. Areas of specific focus include assisting in development/implementation/evaluation of strategic goals to ensure profitability while complying with policies and procedures. Ensure bank policies and procedures are adhered to and in compliance with all applicable Federal and State regulations. Create the structure and processes needed to manage growth.  Oversee and direct the Bank's Information Technology function.

Responsiblities:

  • Assist in development and implementation of strategic short and long-term goals
  • Drive growth and customer satisfaction in operational areas
  • Direct, administer and coordinate the activities of bank operations in support of established policies, goals and objectives. Evaluate the results of overall operations and recommend and implement strategies for improvement and growth
  • Ensure maximum profitability while complying with banks policies, procedures and all applicable Federal and State regulations
  • Examine current business processes and make necessary adjustments so best practices and policies are in place
  • Recommend and direct implementation of changes to operational policy and procedures
  • Create the structure and processes necessary to manage the Bank's current activities and its projected growth
  • Partner with Vice Presidents of Deposits, Checking and Lending to maintain awareness of frontline challenges and to ensure exceptional service is consistently provided
  • Oversee and direct Bank's Information Technology function
  • Responsible for contractual arrangements with data service providers and other third party vendors ensuring quality technology service to both internal and external customers
  • Review current processes/productivity to determine if complex tasks can be achieved through automation
  • Work with IT Director to develop an IT budget and secure necessary equipment Oversee network and system implementations
  • Chair of the Bank's IT Steering Committee
  • Member of Enterprise Risk Management Committee
  • Other committees as assigned
  • Direct reports include Director of Branch Operations and IT Director


  • Extensive leadership experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient knowledge of Risk Management procedures, federal and state compliance regulations and other Bank operational policies
  • Experience managing IT 
  • Strong organization and time management skills
