The role of a Commercial Relationship Manager:
Commercial Relationship Managers are responsible for developing and managing all aspects of commercial client relationships within their defined market segment including the collaborative leadership of a relationship banking team to collectively provide solutions that create value for our clients, communities, and for Zions Bank.
Members of our Utah South Commercial Banking division team operate in some of the fastest growing markets, not only in Utah, but in the country. We work with middle market commercial companies to help provide them with relationship banking solutions to resolve complex challenges and meet their growing needs. What will your day look like? You will be:
- Support other division Relationship Managers in managing, structuring, and closing complex equipment financing relationships.
- Generate and service a wide variety of commercial loans and developing strong, low risk commercial relationships while maintaining quality customer service.
- Acts as the principal account and relationship manager for new clients.
- Develops, generates and follows-up on new client leads through existing clients and referrals from other bank departments.
- Calls on existing relationships to review portfolios and makes recommendations as needed. Responsible for sales, credit analysis, proper loan structuring, client interviewing and perceptive character judgment.
- Responsible for monitoring credit performance and ensures compliance with all related regulations, laws, etc.
- Responsible for building and maintaining relationships, with a resulting high degree of customer satisfaction.
- Cross sell other bank products. Other duties as assigned.
Who should apply? We want someone who has:
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in banking, finance or other related field and 5 to 7 years credit associated lending or 5+ years related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
- Strong equipment lending knowledge and experience including structuring and collateral perfection.
- Knowledge of commercial relationship banking, credit analysis, and/or lending.
- Ability to expand client relationships and cross sell bank products to increase local market share and profitability to the Bank.
- Proficiency in sales and relationship building.
- Ability to think critically and be process minded.
- Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
- High degree of personal accountability.
- Working knowledge of a software applications, including word processing and spreadsheets.
