Zions Bancorporation is currently hiring a Loan Grade Risk Analyst to join our team in our Houston office.  The position offers a 3/2 hybrid work schedule.

 

 

The Centralized Risk Grade team supports the Amegy lending groups in creating and maintaining risk grades on commercial loans. We work with underwriters, lenders, and Middle Office to grade credits for loan origination, modification, and annual updates. We provide guidance on structuring grades, use of overrides, and policy. 

 

 

The ideal candidate will have the skills and experience to be:

 

 

  • Develop and maintain risk grades on all commercial loan types including Commercial and Industrial credits, Commercial Real Estate, Dealer Flooring, Leasing, Non-Profit, Energy, Agricultural, and Individual borrowers (including Guarantor Reliant credits). 
  • Assist field personnel in proper structuring of risk grades, source system data matching, and exception clearing. 
  • Make recommendations and suggest courses of action on risk grade based on Risk Grade guidance and policy.
  • Assist field commercial lending personnel with assessing the risk inherent in commercial loan transactions.
  • Create new grading scenarios and update existing scenarios already in the system to resolve data mismatches between the risk grading application and the loan system where the loan is boarded. 
  • Interact with lending personnel and credit administration across the enterprise. 
  • Develop and maintain reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Experience:

 

  • Requires a Bachelor's in business, finance, accounting, or a related field.  
  • 2+ years with credit analysis, databases, risk analysis, and general commercial type lending or other directly related experience.
  • A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
  • Working knowledge of credit analysis, credit risk assessment, accounting, spreadsheets, databases, and pc's. 
  • Knowledge of commercial loan types. 
  • Ability to work with various department and vendors. 
  • Must have solid analytical, customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written. 
  • Knowledge of lending systems.
