This is an entry-level position working under direct supervision to provide administrative services to the Agency Services Life, Health and Annuity team. Role will be required to obtain a life / health producers license.  Job duties include:

  • Verifies completeness of health and life applications, images applications and policies, updates AgencyBloc and forwards required paperwork to the appropriate company. Checks status on pending applications, communicate status with writing agent, and update AgencyBloc for new business.   
  • Responds to client or agent inquiries via phone, email, and mail regarding senior health products. Inquiries may be premiums questions, annual market research, supplies, application status. This may include calling companies and accessing company websites. 
  •  Facilitate annual renewal working directly with clients to assist with renewal documents, marketing support and carrier / product guidance to agents / this involves researching confidential information for individual clients.  
  •  Provides assistance on special projects, health product rollouts and agent education sessions for supervisor or territory executives.
  • Updates   and helps maintain the information kept in AgencyBloc


Required Education:  High school diploma or general education degree (GED). 

Required Work Experience:  Works independently on specified line of business with minimal assistance needed, while supporting departmental operations.  

Technology Skills:  Computer, phone, fax, copy machine, scanner. 

Required Skills or Traits for the Position:  Attention to detail, good time management and organizational skills, patience to work with the senior population, ability to view the ‘big’ picture and impact of decisions made to other areas of business, solid decision making and problem-solving skills.  

Specialized Training/Certifications:  Must maintain Iowa accident and health insurance license.
