We are seeking an Applications Development Manager to join Zions Bancorporation.  The application development team plays a key role in building high performance teams and delivering exceptional customer experience through new application features and enhancements.

 

You will lead a development team for Oracle E-Business Suite application development focused on successful implementation, maintenance, and optimization of the system. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of Oracle EBS, ensuring seamless integrations with existing systems, and driving innovation in line with business objectives. You will work with Portfolio and Product Managers, Product Owners, and technology stakeholders to deliver solutions using Scaled Agile methodologies. Your team will design, develop, configure, test, and support technology solutions.  Your role will be to drive DevOps excellence, help guide and support architectural decisions, and lead QA strategy to ensure the quality, test automation, and reliability of the platform.

 

The Applications Development Manager will have:

  • Proven experience managing Oracle E-Business Suite implementations and upgrades.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle EBS architecture, modules, and integration points.
  • Proficiency in Oracle Database administration and SQL tuning.
  • Expertise in PL/SQL development and customization of Oracle EBS applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to address complex technical challenges.
  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle EBS performance optimization techniques.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concept with non-technical stakeholders.  
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members to ensure that they can define and pursue professional development goals, successfully meet and exceed performance expectations, and feel part of the Zions Bancorporation culture.

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience managing the development of complex business technology and platforms, systems, processes and tools - required.
  • Advanced understanding of DevOps principles and practices, test engineering, and agile processes; SAFe experience preferred.
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related degree and 6+ years' experience managing software development teams.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior business and technical management, vendors and tactical staff employees.

 

Location: This position has a hybrid work from home schedule with a minimum of four days per week in the office at the new Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.

 

The Zions Technology Center is a 400,000-square-foot technology campus in Midvale, Utah.
