National Bank of Arizona is looking for summer interns to participate our 2024 Internship Program. We are seeking professional, assertive, confident, and driven individuals who are dedicated to supporting our business and gaining experience in the world of banking. The internship program is paid, and will consist of a full-time, 40 hour/week schedule, from June 17th to August 9th. 

At National Bank of Arizona our Interns may gain exposure and training in the following areas: 

  • Credit investigations, credit, and loan analysis, underwriting and other documentation review pertaining to loan analysis.
  • Financial statement spreads using Moody's Risk Analyst.
  • Spread customer financial statements. Complete on-going review of covenants and follow-up. Determine cash flow using appropriate tax analysis.
  • Attending customer and internal Bank meetings
  • Help prepare summaries, presents facts, and offers opinions concerning creditworthiness and any risk items or issues.
  • Analyze financial conditions and trends, reviews, and reports non-compliance with loan covenants for pre-screens or credit presentations.
  • Participate in joint sales calls with Relationship Managers.
  • Various processing, such as advances, paydowns, and system maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • Must be currently enrolled in a College/University or graduated within the current year with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and working toward a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or similar degree (be sure to include your GPA on resume or cover letter).
  • Interests in business and banking/finance.
  • Broad application of general business practices.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, possess creative thinking and solve problems.
  • Self-confidence and willingness to make recommendations.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Windows and the Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Effective customer service and communication skills.
