This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a high performing team as a Correspondent Banking Specialist based on experience.
The Correspondent Banking Department provides products and services to Domestic Financial Institutions. Among the most common services are DDA and Sweep accounts, Fed Fund Lines of credit, Cash Letter Clearing, Lockbox, Foreign Items Clearing, Remote Deposit and many other. We are helping clients with research on their accounts, balances, payments and charges. We interact with other departments of the bank such as Treasury Management, Credit, and Operations.
The ideal candidate for this position will have the skills and experience necessary to:
- As a subject matter provides customer service, administrative and clerical support to the Correspondent Banking Department.
- Responsible for addressing inquiries, problems, concerns and servicing existing accounts.
- Ensure customers are properly billed and set-up for the right services.
- Ensure all documents are current and complete. Review and maintain customer documentation.
- Responsible for research, account adjustments and notifications, account entries as requested by clients, inputting of fee, etc. Review documentation and send to clients as requested.
- Coordinate with various bank departments to ensure timely resolution of issues and problems.
Qualifications:
- Requires High School diploma and some banking experience preferable. A combination of education and experience may meet job requirements.
- Some knowledge of banking products, procedures, services, accounting, pc and customer service skills.
- Understanding of accounts balancing and reconciliation, items processing, check clearing and float and wire transfer processing preferable.
- Excellent customer service, problem resolution and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to be professional in handling customer calls and helping in solving issues.
- Working knowledge of banking systems and applications desirable.
- Must be detail oriented, know how to prioritize and multi-task.
- Good working knowledge of Excel and Word is required.

This position is a full time in office located at the Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.
