California Bank & Trust has an Entertainment Lending Summer internship available for current College/University students. The internship is a paid, full-time position located in El Segundo and is part of a 9 to 12-week program.

The Entertainment Finance group provides specialized financing solutions to clients in the film, television and music industries.  Financing solutions are tailored to provide loans for film/TV content production, general working capital, corporate mergers/acquisitions, and the acquisition or film/TV/music catalogs.  Other areas of focus include talent management agencies and digital media and interactive entertainment. 

Intern will support team by performing research on clients and/or prospects, domestic and international distributors to support credit requests as needed. Intern will also compile information on film and music industry trends, sourcing data from various analyst reports and forecasts, distribution trends, etc.  Information will be used to update entertainment group's internal film and music white papers as the industry continues to evolve. This Program gives students the opportunity to gain valuable and practical work experience in their majors, explore the banking/finance industry, and learn about our culture and business philosophy.

Qualifications:

  • Must be currently enrolled in a College/University graduating within a year after the internship with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and working toward a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar degree (be sure to include your GPA on resume or cover letter).Interests in business, banking/finance, and entertainment.
  • Broad application of general business practices.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, possess creative thinking and solve problems.
  • Self-confidence and willingness to make recommendations.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Windows and the Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Effective customer service and communication skills.
  • Entertainment Finance coursework is a plus (please include on resume if taken)

This position is eligible to earn a base wage of $23 hourly.
