A leader responsible for the design, implementation, and oversight of programs that effectively mitigate consumer compliance and Bank Secrecy Act risk and ensure compliance with the Community Reinvestment Act to lead an integrated Compliance Management System within the Bank (defined as the Consolidated Bank Divisions comprised on the Core Bank, Guaranteed Lending, and the Mortgage Division) ensuring compliance with all laws and regulations. 



  • Implement and maintain the Bank comprehensive Compliance Management System
  • Direct and oversee the Bank’s compliance review calendar to ensure compliance risk is addressed appropriately for all lines of business.
  • Develop departmental policies and procedures necessary to maintain an effective, comprehensive Compliance Management System that includes all lines of business.
  • Monitor changes in regulatory compliance requirements and communicate such information to affected personnel.
  • Provide reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested, to inform the Board of Directors, Compliance Committee and senior management on the progress and status of Compliance Department efforts.
  • Ensure the compliance training program addresses key compliance risk areas, as identified by the Compliance Risk Assessment, and is implemented according to the training calendar.  Monitor completion of training content by the Board of Directors, Senior Management and personnel, including training provided to new hires within the organization.
  • Ensure the compliance review calendar addresses key compliance risk areas, as identified by the Compliance Risk Assessment, and is completed according to the compliance review calendar.
  • Collaborate with personnel for the design, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of an effective compliance monitoring program.
  • Determine and oversee corrective actions based upon the results of compliance monitoring and ensure that corrective action is completed timely for the identified compliance exceptions.  Collaborate with compliance officer(s) on related matters within the division, as required.
  • Interpret and disseminate information on regulatory matters to affected personnel.
  • Oversee the submission and approval process of marketing materials (marketing literature and advertising and including marketing conducted through social media, websites or other internet platforms for all departments and offices) to ensure proper compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Review and approval of new products or services and/or changes to existing products or services to identify and mitigate potential regulatory risk.
  • Prepare for and coordinate examination and audit requests.
  • Serve as the regulatory liaison for all examinations and audits performed ensuring timely and accurate responses.
