We are currently seeking a Field Exam Manager as part of our Enterprise Field Exam team.  Enterprise Field Exam is responsible for all facets of field examinations including validating the financial and collateral information provided by a borrower to the bank, reviewing exam reports performed by outside vendors, and scheduling, coordinating, and ordering field exams.   

 

 

The Bancorporation desires timely and comprehensive Field Exams, which are a valuable tool in facilitating the accurate monitoring of A/R, Inventory, and other collateral securing revolving lines of credit. The Field Exam is performed on-site at the Borrower's location. The Field Examiner follows set procedures to perform various tests of the Borrower's accounting practices, establishes an understanding of the collateral securing the Line of Credit, and evaluates the Borrower's timeliness of paying its accounts payable and payroll. The Field Examiner is required to collect a certain body of information while on-site with the Borrower and then summarize the findings and make recommendations during the Field Exam write-up process.

Responsibilities:

 

 

  • Plan, schedule, coordinate, and conduct field examinations.
  • Establish the scope of work for reviewing and analyzing field exams.
  • Review and finalize work produced by field examiners to ensure quality and compliance of work.
  • Ensure that production and quality of work performed by independent contractors is meeting service levels.
  • Manage field exam vendors by maintaining required documentation, complying with third-party vendor management, and adding new field exam vendors.
  • Consult with lenders in pre-screening and structuring new business for appropriateness, structure, and borrowing base calculations.
  • Manage department projects as needed.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
  • Some travel required up to 10-20% of the time in and around the intermountain region (UT, ID, CO). 

 

 

Qualifications:

 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • 4-6+ years in asset-based lending, underwriting, loan structuring, credit and portfolio management, field exams, economic and industry evaluations, monitoring collateral and credit performance, or other related experience.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
  • Extensive knowledge of accepted loan practices with emphasis on asset-based lending, field exams, underwriting, credit analysis, and portfolio management.
  • Extensive working knowledge of commercial/corporate loan structures, setting of appropriate loan and financial covenants, and industry standard loan documentation.
  • Excellent work ethic.
  • Familiarity with loan processing and closing processes.
  • Excellent problem resolution, analysis, and communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Ability to interview applicants and perceptive character judgment skills.
  • Ability to structure loans, monitor credit performance, and minimize credit risks.
  • Must have excellent people skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of software applications, including spreadsheets and word processing.

  

 

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $90,000 to $120,000 depending on job-related factors such as level of experience and location.
