Purpose: Conduct analysis and interpretation on existing and prospective customers. Analyze repayment risk of loan opportunity and suggest mitigates.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Credit Underwriting – Work with commercial lender to fully understand and analyze the financial condition of existing and prospective customers through analysis of financial statements. Spread financial statements/tax returns of the borrower/prospects both individual and business. Ensure Bank credit policies and procedures are maintained and in compliance with all established guidelines. (45%)
Monitor Existing Loan Portfolio – Analyze financial statements of existing clients. Prepare spreads for use by lending staff. Complete annual reviews. (35%)
Reporting – Prepare and/or pull and disseminate reports to end users throughout the bank. Ensure reports are accurate and delivered in a timely manner. (10%)
Other Duties As Assigned - Respond to requests for special analysis and projects as required by supervisor or management. (5%)
Build Strong Communities: Participate in community events, including staffing at least one event (art festivals, community celebrations, etc.), representing West Bank as requested by attending at least one luncheon, dinner, or reception, and participating in at least one community festival (parades, bank-sponsored outreach events, etc.) per year. (5%)
Bachelor of Business Administration – Finance/Accounting required; formal commercial credit training preferred. Previous banking experience helpful. Must be organized, able to multi-task, and have excellent oral and written communication skills to facilitate communicating with management, lenders, borrowers, and others as required.
