Job Description:
At Regions, the Financial Crimes Data and Analytics Group Manager is responsible for first-line prevention and detection analytics for enterprise Fraud and BSA/AML. This position manages teams developing, deploying, monitoring, and controlling analytical strategies for financial crimes. Additionally, this position owns the continued improvement and maturity of the Financial Crimes unit data strategy and analytical capabilities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manages all aspects of Financial Crimes data and analytics, contributing to the reduction of fraud-related losses and improved financial crimes analytics performance
- Owns the execution of business financial crimes analytic strategies
- Drives business intelligence projects
- Owns the monitoring process for financial crimes data and analytics and owns the execution of adjustments and escalation
- Tracks performance metrics and the efficiency of detection strategies/rules and related technologies
- Leads complex data solutions using multiple data sources, including data acquisition, model development, and production deployment
- Leads collaborations with cross-functional business partners and analytics teams to design and develop advanced analytics and machine learning solutions
- Owns the reporting on all aspects of financial crimes analytics performance
- Solves complex problems by taking a broad perspective to identify solutions
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
This is a single incumbent position.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or related quantitative discipline
- Twelve (12) years of experience in Financial Crimes, Fraud, BSA/AML, or Risk Management
- Experience in a significant leadership position within an analytics team
Preferences
- Master's degree in related field
- Advanced knowledge of the consumer financial crime industry environment, threat landscape, fraud management concepts and practices, and performance implications of policy or strategy actions

- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
