POSITION SUMMARY
Reports directly to the Director of Internal Audit and Corporate Governance, SVP. The Audit Associate will assist in the planning and/or execution of audits across different business units. Assist in organizing and maintaining documents to support the corporate governance framework.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in preparation for Bank audits and reviews and throughout the audit process.
- Track management’s responses for all Bank audits and reviews.
- Assist the independent third-party audit firms as needed.
- Upload audit requests to digital materials platforms.
- Update Internal Control Assessments documentation regarding the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
- Assist with policy approval process for Bank policies.
- Prepare meeting materials required for Board and Committee meetings.
- Upload of Board and Committee meeting materials and documents to digital materials platform.
- Process Word and Excel documents and PowerPoint slides per comments received by Management team.
- Scan documents to maintain electronically.
- Assist with scheduling of meetings.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES OR DETAILS
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- College Diploma or equivalent audit experience preferred.
- One year of audit experience desired.
- Must be able to gather, analyze, and evaluate facts to prepare and present reports.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Computer skills with windows-based office programs such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint are required.
- Ability to communicate with diverse audiences, including Board, Management, and regulatory.
- Preferred knowledge in the application of internal auditing theory, standards, procedures, and techniques.
- Preferred knowledge of banking rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Successful completion of all training deemed necessary by the Bank.
- Demonstrates and behaves in accordance with the principles of transparency and accountability in accordance with laws, state and organizational policies and procedures.
WORK CONDITIONS
- The working conditions are almost exclusively inside the Bank.
- This position must be able to sit for long periods of time as position involves majority of time spent at desk and computer.
