Keystone Savings Bank is looking for a Compliance Officer.  The Compliance Officer provides administration to oversee the compliance of laws and regulations as they apply to the financial institution.  This position can be based in Keystone, Marengo, Victor, Center Point or Pleasant Hill, based on the candidate's preference; however, this is a position based in one of the Keystone branches and not a remote work opportunity.  Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Oversees compliance management system (CMS) including policies, procedures, processes, monitoring and testing programs, and a compliance audit function regarding compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Research federal and state banking laws and regulations and ensures bank’s compliance with laws and regulations, including HMDA and CRA. Attends seminars and workshops covering regulatory and compliance issues and reports material changes to management.
  • Coordinates or conducts compliance training and ensures staff has the resources to stay in compliance; schedules meetings with departments and supervisors as necessary to provide information on compliance changes that affect them.
  • Responsible for monitoring compliance risk and supplying information to the Board of Directors and Senior Management for appropriate board and management oversight.
  • Works with audit functions involving compliance related issues.
  • Acts as liaison/contact for federal examinations and internal and external independent compliance reviews, responds to exams and audit concerns and oversees corrective action.
  • Represents the bank and provides leadership in key community activities, including business, charitable, civic, and social organizations to maintain a proper responsible citizen stature for the bank.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements include the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5-7 years related work experience.
  • Microsoft Office.
  • Extensive ability to read, analyze and interpret government regulations, trade journals, and legal documents. Must be able to respond to common inquiries from regulatory agencies and outside consultants. Strong written and verbal skills, attention to detail.
  • Compliance certification preferred.
