We are currently seeking a Business Analyst as part of our Commercial Lending Strategic Initiatives group.  Commercial Lending Initiatives (CLI) partners with frontline stakeholders, middle office and Enterprise Loan Operations as well as technology and process teams from around the organization to deliver products and services of value and efficiency to our clients. 

 

CLI is responsible for improving processes and optimizing technology applications to drive business growth for 10,000+ employees across 11 states. CLI is engaging in numerous exciting multi-year projects intended to transform commercial lending at Zions Bancorporation.  We are focused on solutions that will differentiate us from our competitors by pairing technology with true relationship banking that will drive our organization's long-term success. The Business Analyst will join our Strategic Initiatives Team.  The Strategic Initiatives team is the bridge between the frontline users and the teams that deliver and support technology. As a Business Analyst, you will play a key role in defining the future of commercial lending for the organization. The work you do has real impact customer-wide and enterprise-wide and it is truly valued by both.

 

The Business Analyst will: 

    • Assess current business processes and practices and identify opportunities to drive efficiency both in the current state and future state.
    • Manage and maintain organizational workflow process maps and keep them in sync with actual business activities.
    • Analyze emerging technologies for applicability and compatibility that aligns with the needs of our clients and the strategies and goals of the organization.
    • Assist with the creation of business case documents that are used to secure funding and prioritization of new initiatives.
    • Work with vendors and intake management teams to satisfy due diligence items necessary to both onboard new vendors and to provide trailing monitoring of existing vendors.
    • Prepare materials utilized to provide project and general status updates for all initiatives supported by the CLI team.
    • Work directly with frontline lenders to anticipate client trends and emerging behaviors and help identify opportunities.
    • Other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

    • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or related field.
    • 8 years' experience in business processing analysis, gathering and documenting business requirements or other directly related experience. Hands-on experience with MS Office Suite, as well as Blue Works Live.
    • Experience producing technical documentation, process maps, and business case documents.
    • Experience with the process of delivering commercial loans. 
    • Experience may come from front office/origination activities, loan underwriting, credit administration, documentation, boarding and servicing, or any combination thereof.
    • Working knowledge of commercial lending products and services.
    • Familiarity with SAFE Agile delivery methodology
    • Experience working with budgets including profit and loss forecasts.
    • Excellent communication skills both oral and written with demonstrated comfort preparing materials for the use of Sr. and Exec. Management.
    • Ability to work in a self-directed environment and to produce results within stated deadlines.
    • Agile/SAFE certifications are beneficial but not required.
