Zions Bancorporation is seeking an experienced Business System Analyst with solid experience in payments processing such as Wires, ACH, Deposits and Lending as well as reconciliation of bank transaction to work as a member of the Branch Services Team, facilitating the reconciliation of our branch and core system transactions.  The position offers the opportunity to grow as the department is poised to increase in scope and responsibility over the next 6-18 months. This position is perfect for the innovative thinker, researcher, and problem solver.

 

The ideal Business Systems Analyst for this position will have the skills and experience necessary to: 

  • Participate on a team that supports all accounting related projects, analysis and conversions with respect to lending and deposit financial activity.
  • Provide analytical, operational and/or project support to core banking systems.
  • Review work or complete reconciliations of complex general ledgers; troubleshoot outages in reconciliations and report issues (availability, accuracy); and support the completion or updating of procedures and/or job aids
  • Prepare and provide analysis, tests of data integrity, presentations, and other supporting transactional documentation.
  • Seek operational efficiencies.
  • Manage various system functions, including: incident, change, system and project management.
  • Provide application support for internal customers at our Bancorp affiliates.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Technical Experience and Qualifications:

 

We want a highly-motivated individual and a self-starter who has:

  • Working knowledge of business systems and applications, incident and change management, project and systems management.
  • Experience with system interfaces (file-based, web services, etc.).
  • Solid analytical, organizational, troubleshooting and problem-solution skills.
  • Ability to elicit, gather and analyze system performance data using available tools.
  • Experience in the following disciplines:
    • Business Analysis
    • Process improvement
    • Project Management
    • Application Support and Delivery 
  • Solid technical and non-technical communication skills using both verbal and written interactions. 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration preferred.
  • Knowledge of and or experience in Wires, ACH, Deposits or Lending is preferred.
  • Experience with Frontier application is a plus.

A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.

 

Location: This position has a hybrid work from home schedule with a minimum of three days per week in office at the Amegy offices on Main Street in downtown Houston, TX; Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT or the National Bank of Arizona - Biltmore office in Phoenix, Arizona.
