Position Overview:

Under the supervision of the Loan Operations Assistant Manager, the Consumer Loan Operations Team Lead will work with and manage a team to ensure all Loan Servicing related functions in connection with Consumer Loans are completed. This includes fundings, dealer loan servicing, booking/reviewing loans, distribution of paid loan packages, preparation of payoff demand statements, loan file maintenance review, tracking and review of all pending loan documents and exceptions. 

 Essential Duties:

  • Provides day to day management and support of the Consumer Loan Operations staff in order to ensure service level expectations are met
  • Extracts loan information from Consumer loan closing packages, and various worksheets in order to book and service loans in the core system, ensuring rate, payments, bills, auto transfers, and collateral agree to loan document file. 
  • Manages the insurance tracking process for the consumer and residential loan portfolio
  • Conducts Team Meetings to establish and delegate priorities for the day, in order to ensure all time sensitive deadlines are met
  • Defines and enhances Consumer Loan Servicing workflow improvements.
  • Maintain, manage and track all pending/outstanding loan documents and exceptions.
  • Provide review for reconciliation of loan activity to either the DDA or GL Accounts as well as and remittance of monthly reports to dealers in order to ensure that deadlines and other requirements are met. 
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of Bank’s Consumer Loan products/services and related service provider application systems. 
  • Maintains technical knowledge of standards, policy changes and issues related to loan accounts.
  • Provides review and approval of verifies wire information
  • Responds to inquiries from dealers and other internal personnel to resolve problems regarding servicing issues and to provide general information on bank services. 
  • Stays abreast of new regulations and software enhancements. Reviews software system upgrades and update setup sheets or procedures as needed. 
  • Assist with training and cross-training various Consumer Loan Operations staff to accurately and efficiently handle departmental duties.
  • Backs up and performs various loan servicing duties. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education, Training and Work Experience:

  • Must have proficient computer skills including Word and Excel. 
  • Must possess strong analytical and customer service skills. 
  • Must be able to multi-task and work independently. 
  • High school degree or equivalent required, College degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years' experience – in banking or loan services preferred
