Job Description:

At Regions, the Corporate Trust Relationship Consultant handles trust-related issues involving the scheduling of payments, clients' special requests, and other non-investment matters for basic accounts. This position may assist the Trust Area Manager in developing new business with existing clients.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Handles complex accounts involving the scheduling of payments, clients' special requests, and other non-investment matters for accounts

  • Oversees and provides exceptional service for client relationships, including managing the setup, implementation and administration of Corporate Trust Accounts and following issues through to resolutions, meeting deadlines, and anticipating strategic client needs including future opportunities and risk

  • Coordinates client service activities with other areas of the organization

  • Keeps abreast of trends and developments in Corporate Trust to ensure proper administration

  • Administers and oversees the most complex transactions and client relationships, demonstrating a thorough understanding of client objectives, and identifies and provides alternatives to appropriate stakeholders

  • Partners with leadership and strategists to expand existing relationships and identify both good and undesirable business

  • Develops internal and external relationships with existing and new centers-of- influence (COIs)

  • Leads client pre-call planning meetings and participates in sales presentations

  • Performs duties in compliance with Corporate Policies and Procedures and Corporate Trust Program Documents and Procedures and all applicable external regulations

  • May lead projects and/or supervises junior level staff, serving as  leader or mentor

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

This position is incentive eligible.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with five (5) years of Trust or related experience

  • Or High School Diploma with seven (7) years of Trust or closely related experience

Preferences

  • Master's degree

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to communicate to a diverse group on complicated issues and topics

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills including attention to detail

  • Excellent presentation skills

  • Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills

  • Extensive knowledge of trust principles and regulatory and tax matters relating to the administration of trust accounts

  • Proven sales ability and knowledge of effective sales techniques

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
